You might think the last thing we need is yet another music festival, but, see, that’s why Shadow of the City’s just what we need. It’s not really a festival at all. Instead, it’s the realization of a years-old idea from Jack Antonoff, New Jersey native who simply wanted to do something accessible, slow-growing and local, according to his interview with Rolling Stone. The whole thing’s much more about community and small(ish) scale shows than a sponsored weekend blowout in a desert.
So what’s the “not-music-festival” festival all about? Here, some info, and the five artists you need to follow.
