Guest Editor: Away x The Gramlist

Our favorite invention of the past year may just be a suitcase. It’s not super glamorous, nor is it something we necessarily get to use on the daily, but it’s beautifully made traveling simpler. The brand was launched by two former Warby Parker execs—familiar with creating solutions in markets without reasonable options. Travel experts themselves, they were frustrated with the current options for luggage, so they made the carry-on of their dreams. It’s minimal, affordable, and tech-friendly (an embedded battery charges laptops or phones while you wait at the gate). Needless to say, the team is a forward-thinking bunch, finding inspiration in their daily lives and all over the world. And since it’s the first official long weekend of summer, we asked them to share the Instagram feeds that inspire them. (Consider this your list of who and what to look at while you’re stuck in weekend-trip traffic).

In this day and age, travel should be easy and pain free — and the founders of Away agree. Jen Rubio and Steph Korey, both former Warby Parker execs, created Away in an effort to give consumers quality luggage without a hefty price tag. Devoted to eliminating the cons of travel, Jen and Steph aim to leave consumers with vacation-type joy rather than airport-type anxiety.

We’re very visual people and find a lot of inspiration through Instagram. From home decor and photography to travel and food, it’s all in one place. It’s hard to imagine a time when our camera rolls weren’t filled with screenshots! Here are just a few of our favorite accounts.
