Known for her handwritten poems, everything about Cleo Wade’s poetry invites you in, from her hand scrawled notes to the courageous, sometimes soul-bearing affirmations. She writes “for everyone who’s feeling alone in certain feelings,” (via Refinery29,)  and her signature signoff of, “That’s All” gives her quotes a sense of command, as if to say, “Don’t just read this—live it.”

Nikita Gill’s feministic self-love makes us extra-glad for the @tagging abilities of Instagram—her poems read like a salve for those seeking closure, healing, relief from loss and some good, old-fashioned empathy, and each post’s comments section becomes a list of empowerment. For an IRL experience, her book just came out.

There are many reasons people get tattoos, but one is to carry something special with them at all times. That’s, perhaps, why fans of Alexandra Elle have her words artfully inked on.
