Wonder Women of NY Comic-con

While San Diego, the original home of Comic Con, holds their event in July each year, NYC takes the October routethis past weekend October 5-8 in 2017for their gathering of all that is #geekculture. Yes, we too are NYC based, so we may be slightly biased, but we’re fans of the early harvest month costume inspo, setting us up for success at month’s end on All Hallows’ Eve.

Although all attendees dress to impressmany competing in contests judged by some of the industry’s best including Marvel costume designer Stephanie Maslanskywe found that the women of NY Comic Con stand out, especially this year. Badass heroines like Wonder Woman, classic  and modern, glow in the mainstream spotlight while favorite niche characters make appearances as always at the fest.

Today, we look at some of the women of cosplay, dazzling us with their powerful attitudes and fierce looks. If you #needahero (or a villain 😉 ), look no further, these are your gals.
