Portland Social City Guide

There’s no two ways about it: Portland, Oregon is a fascinating place. Whether you’re into food, art, or generally just great, well-designed cities, there’s something for you in PDX. Here, we break down all of our favorite blogger’s under-the-radar picks for food, drinks, and shopping.

Revelry (@revelrypdx)

Why you should go: “Revelry” features stunning Korean-inspired courses brought to your plate from the minds of James Beard finalists, chef Rachel Yang and chef Seif Chirchi. Their happy hour deals are almost good to be true, plus they have a live DJ so you can move, groove and soothe your starving belly.

West End Select Shop (@westendselectshop)

Why you should go:  Don’t you just love it when people tell you that they like your outfit and you can throw your head back, flip your hair and say, “Oh thanks, I got it in Portland.” Well, you’ll never stop saying that once you’ve shopped here. Trés chic and very Instagram-worthy.

Oregon’s Mt. Hood Territory (@mthoodterritory)

Why you should go: Honestly we would recommend you unplug for a while when you’re somewhere as serene and beautiful as this… But we won’t because you HAVE to ‘Gram that sunrise/sunset/sun. You just gotta.

Why you should go: So you can walk into the store, inhale deeply and say, “Get me a candle that smells like this.” But mostly, the largest indie bookstore around? Worth a pit stop.

Music Millennium (@musicmillennium)

Why you should go: To say you’ve been to the oldest record store in the Pacific Northwest.

Enso Winery (@ensowinery)

Why you should go: If you’re gonna go to a bar, then you might as well go to one that has cute seating and fairy lights and was awarded “Bar of the Year.” Might be worth checking out.

Deadstock Coffee & Gallery (@deadstockcoffee)

Why you should go: Enough with the heart-art-lattes. Sneaker-art, that’s what you want on your coffee. And then you can go home and try to recreate it and upload a hilariously endearing #fail video. Perfect.

Salt & Straw Ice Cream (@saltandstraw)

Why you should go: Because there’s no better ice cream in Portland, and that’s a fact.

Why you should go: Just check out the pictures, and you’ll get it. Portland’s Thai staple is still holding strong.

Why you should go: For the best Italian in Portland, of course! Just as its head chef, Josh, who takes out-of-this-world food photography in addition to being an ace in the kitchen.
