“We tasted all the ice creams @saltandstraw’s cookbook launch party and Rose City Riot just might have been my favorite (although many came in a tight second). The flavor is named after Portland, the City of Roses, but the inspiration comes from the Middle East. The rose flavor is subtle but pure — “just enough rose water for a stroll-through-the-garden experience.” The ice cream gets an added dimension of flavor and creaminess with ribbons of saffron cream swirled in”

For authentic Thai food: Pok Pok

“The @pokpokpdx Vietnamese Fish Sauce Wings totally live up to the hype! So glad the WorldMark Portland – Waterfront Park put me within easy reach of a plethora of Portland’s culinary delights!”

“Can’t leave Portland without pasta from @avagenes. Raviolo with corn and truffles. Look at that egg. 😱 Thank you, chef @jj__mc. ”
