It’s been said that flowers are nature’s jewels, and when it comes to adornment, there’s definitely too much of a good thing. That’s why, when it comes to fresh blooms, we opt for florists who go for simple, seasonal, even a little untamed.

Luckily, one such flower girl exists and goes by the name Florabrook—it’s one New Yorkers will want to remember for dinner parties, housewarmings or just making someone’s day. If you’re not within founder Caroline Lahti’s delivery range, just consider her Instagram feed inspiration.

That’s the thing about Florabrook: the laid-back vibes, largely thanks to Caroline’s super-chill personality. And when you’re dealing with fickle living things that eventually fade, being flexible’s a good thing. One pro tip? Filling your Instagram feed with LOL-worthy, mood-lifting snaps (which is to say, don’t stress yourself out keeping an eye on “competition” or stressful people). Here, Caroline’s eight must-follows.

Says Caroline:

I started Florabrook Summer of 2014. I’d been working at florists through high school and college, and although I was young I felt like I had years of experience and felt I really understood the business. I wanted to create a florist that worked closely with clients to give them what they really wanted, instead of a generic list or selection that they can chose from. I also wanted to brighten people’s day, which sounds cheesy but I think having this stuff in a dreary office or other work environment can really brighten someone’s mood.
