June 15, 2016
You might think the last thing we need is yet another music festival, but, see, that’s why Shadow of the City’s just what we need. It’s not really a festival at all. Instead, it’s the realization of a years-old idea from Jack Antonoff, New Jersey native who simply wanted to do something accessible, slow-growing and local, according to his interview with Rolling Stone. When: It started last year, in 2015
Why: Jersey’s always been overshadowed by very near-by New York. No longer. (The festival name should be making sense right about now.)
Where: Asbury Park, NJ
